When psychopaths get into power.

Insight into a psychopath and how he corrupted politics in NSW. A very depressing yet compelling read. If this was set in Russia the author would be dead now. Thank god for independent journalism and Australian democracy that we can still shine the light on the cockroaches that scuttle in the shadows of our political system.

How greed dominated New South Wales.....the largest state in Australia and the powerhouse/ centre of the Australian economy.
How basic checks and balances have failed in Australia. The cost to the Australian taxpayer must be in the 10s of billions.The time/effort and money that could have been spent on health and education............on infrastructure.
How we have lost 15 years of growth opportunities due to corruption.
I am sure all readers are still in awe at the blatant corruption.The disgracefull behaviour by federal and state politician is simply mind boggling.
Should we all be wondering what has been left out of the book? What stories have been left out?Our politician class that has run amok .The waste and the missed opportunities.
No wonder Clive and Pauline thrive in Australia.Australia has so many levels and layers of politicians and public servants........This is a book full of facts that will make the reader sick. I used to think it was only a tiny percentage.....a tiny,tiny ,tiny number of politicians that were corrupt........This book shows that I was totally in that assumption.Clearly too many had/have their "" noses in the trough"". All the good many politicians/ public servants do will get lost and be forgotten.

Lebanese grubs and their mates

And I thought our country was run democratically with very little corruption, compared to many other countries anyway! How wrong I was!
This Obeid grub - there are no words to describe this unprincipled person - and the sons he taught to do the same as he does. He brings down his fellow Lebanese and their clans. He brought down so many men who are weak, needy and greedy. The scum swilling with the scum. Some people just can't help themselves or perhaps they have no principles anyway.
Great to see that the truth is able to be told and the authors still live in our society - at least they haven't been shot, as may happen in other societies.
